MyBloodClots.com has been founded because the internet is full of half-truths and wrong information about blood clots. Since starting the project, we have only meant for it to be educational. Over the months and years since going live, MyBloodCLots.com has been serving medical students, physicians and patients. We have been receiving many positive comments from colleagues and patients alike saying they have found answers to their questions within the site. We will continue to try and keep the site free of bias and as updated and professional as we can.

Limitations of the site

However, MyBloodClots.com has its limitations. It is not meant to provide medical advice or information that replaces official medical publications or your doctor’s advice.  When you think about it, it just can’t. This type of information should always rely on a full history, physical examination and focused laboratory data. This is why MyBloodClots.com is only meant to be a preliminary educational tool.
